Travel
While the wedding is in Bushwick, we’ll be staying nearby in Williamsburg—a super walkable neighborhood and only a quick train ride from the city.
-
At only a 20/30 minute drive to Williamsburg, LGA is a great option to fly into. However, it’s not the best if you’re trying to go the public transit route.
-
At 50 minutes to an hour away from Williamsburg, JFK is more of a hike. However, you can take a shuttle to the (J) Train. The environment will thank you.
-
Just as far as JFK, flying into New Jersey might help you save some money. The public transit route would mean three trains, so we’d recommend taking an Uber.
-
Parking in Williamsburg can be a pain, but it’s not impossible. Either budget 20 minutes or so to circle the block, or money to pay for a parking garage.
If you still choose to drive, keep the size of the vehicle in mind—NYC and SUVs don’t always get along.
Stay
New York is too big and too fun to try and tell you where to stay. Instead of doing a room block, we’ve put together a big ol’ list of options for you.
-
💍 We’ll (Alex and Em) be staying at The Wythe in Williamsburg
👋 You can stay down the street at The Hoxton, The Arlo, The William Vale or The Coda—a little further are the Penny and Hotel Indigo
💰 If you just need a base camp, check out the Pod Hotel -
If you’ve never been to New York, or you haven’t been in a while, staying closer to the big attractions might make the trip even more worth your while.
For the easiest commute to the wedding, look for spots in the Lower East Side, East Village, or really anything along the L train.
